TV App

The TV App displays your content on Android TV devices. It's the companion to the web app — you manage content in the web app, and it shows up on your TV screens.

What It Does​

Once set up, the TV App:

  • Displays your content — Images from your library rotate on screen
  • Follows your schedules — Content appears and disappears based on the schedules you set
  • Syncs automatically — New content downloads overnight without any manual steps
  • Works offline — Continues showing content even if the network goes down temporarily

Requirements​

  • Android TV device running Android 6.0 or later
  • Network connection (WiFi or Ethernet)
  • A Publish Screens account

How It Works​

  1. Install the TV App on your Android TV
  2. The app displays a pairing code on screen
  3. Scan the code with your phone to connect the device to your account
  4. Assign the device to a device group during pairing
  5. Publish content to that device group from the web app
  6. Your content appears on the TV

The TV syncs with your account once per day (overnight) to pick up any changes. You can also trigger a manual sync anytime from the TV.
