Setting Up Your TV

After installing the TV App, you need to pair it with your Publish Screens account. This connects the TV to your content library.

Pairing Your Device​

  1. Open the TV App — A QR code appears on screen
  2. Scan the QR code — Use your phone's camera to scan it
  3. Complete pairing — The link opens a setup page where you select a store and device group
  4. Assign to a device group — Choose which device group this screen belongs to

Once paired, the TV downloads your content and starts displaying it automatically.

What Happens After Pairing​

  • The TV syncs with your account and downloads any published content
  • Images rotate on screen (each displays for about 15 seconds)
  • Content follows the schedules you've set in your templates
  • The device appears in your web app under its device group

Pairing Code Expiration​

The QR code on the pairing screen refreshes periodically for security. If the code expires before you scan it, a new one appears automatically.

Multiple Devices​

Repeat this process for each TV you want to set up. Each device:

  • Gets its own pairing code
  • Can be assigned to the same or different device groups
  • Displays content based on its position in the device group
