Using the TV App

Once your TV is paired and content is published, the app runs automatically. Here's what you need to know about day-to-day operation.

Content Playback

The TV App cycles through your images automatically:

  • Each image displays for about 15 seconds
  • Images play in the order set in your template
  • Scheduled content only appears during its scheduled times
  • The cycle repeats continuously

Automatic Syncing

The TV syncs with your account once per day, typically overnight. When you publish new content from the web app:

  1. The content is uploaded to your account
  2. Overnight, the TV checks for updates
  3. New images are downloaded
  4. The updated content starts playing

You don't need to do anything — it happens automatically.

Manual Sync

Need content to update right away? You can trigger a sync manually:

  1. Press OK on your TV remote to open the control panel
  2. Select Force Refresh
  3. The TV syncs immediately and downloads any new content

Changing Screen Rotation

If your TV is mounted in portrait orientation or at an angle:

  1. Press OK on your remote to open the control panel
  2. Select Change Rotation
  3. The screen rotates 90 degrees
  4. Repeat until you reach the desired orientation

Rotation options: 0°, 90°, 180°, 270°

Control Panel

Press OK on your TV remote to show the control panel with these options:

Press Back on your remote to close the control panel.

Admin Panel

The admin panel shows technical details about your device:

  • Sync status — When the last sync happened
  • Network status — Whether the device is connected
  • Content count — How many images are loaded
  • Device info — App version and device model

This information is helpful when troubleshooting issues.

When There's No Content

If no content has been published to the device's group, the TV displays a "No Content Available" message with setup instructions.

To fix this:

  1. Open the web app
  2. Create or edit a template with your content
  3. Publish the template to this device's group
  4. Wait for the overnight sync, or trigger a manual sync
