Control Panel
The Control Panel provides quick access to device settings and actions. Open it by pressing OK on your remote.
Opening the Control Panel
Press the OK button (or center D-pad button) on your remote at any time. The Control Panel appears as a semi-transparent overlay at the bottom of the screen.
To close it, press Back on your remote.
Available Actions
Rotate Screen
Adjust the display orientation for different mounting positions.
- Select Rotate Screen
- The display rotates 90 degrees clockwise
- Select again to continue rotating (0° → 90° → 180° → 270° → 0°)
The panel stays open so you can continue rotating until the orientation is correct.
Common orientations:
| Rotation | Use Case |
|---|---|
| 0° | Standard landscape TV |
| 90° | Portrait digital sign (rotated clockwise) |
| 180° | Upside-down mounting |
| 270° | Portrait digital sign (rotated counter-clockwise) |
Force Refresh
Immediately sync content with the server instead of waiting for the next scheduled sync.
- Select Force Refresh
- The sync begins immediately
- Watch the sync status on the right side of the panel
This button only appears when the device is displaying content (after registration and initial sync).
When to use Force Refresh:
- You just published new content and want to see it immediately
- The device hasn't updated and you want to check for changes
- Troubleshooting sync issues
The button is disabled while a sync is in progress.
Admin Panel
Open the detailed diagnostics screen.
- Select Admin Panel
- A full-screen overlay appears with device information

Sync Status Display
The right side of the Control Panel shows the current sync status:
| Status | What It Means |
|---|---|
| No recent sync | Device is idle, no sync in progress |
| Downloading script... | Fetching content playlist from server |
| Downloading images... (3/10) | Downloading media files with progress |
| Cleaning up... | Removing old content no longer needed |
| Last sync X minutes ago | Sync completed successfully |
| Sync failed X minutes ago | Last sync encountered an error |
A green checkmark indicates successful sync. A red warning icon indicates failure.
Navigation
Use your remote to navigate the Control Panel:

Buttons show a visible focus indicator when selected.
