Scheduling Content
Schedules let you control when content appears on your screens. Set up time-based rules so the right content shows at the right time — automatically.
What You Can Schedule
You can add schedules to:
- Individual media items in a device column
- Entire scripts (applies to the whole script)
- Media items within scripts (for per-item control)
Click the calendar icon on any content to open the schedule dialog.
Schedule Settings
When creating a schedule, you can configure:
Start Date and Time
Set when the content should begin appearing. You can specify:
- A specific date
- A specific time (or mark as "all day")
End Date (Optional)
Set when the content should stop appearing. If you don't set an end date, the content will continue displaying according to its recurrence rules.
All Day
Toggle this on if the content should display for the entire day rather than specific hours.
Recurrence Options
Schedules can repeat on various patterns:
| Pattern | Description |
|---|---|
| None | One-time schedule, no repeat |
| Daily | Repeats every day |
| Weekly | Repeats on selected days of the week |
| Monthly | Repeats on selected days of the month |
| Yearly | Repeats on the same date each year |
| Custom | Advanced recurrence rules |
Weekly Schedules
When you choose weekly recurrence, you can select which days of the week the content should appear (e.g., Monday, Wednesday, Friday).
Monthly Schedules
When you choose monthly recurrence, you can select which days of the month the content should appear (e.g., 1st and 15th).
Recurrence End Options
For recurring schedules, you can choose when the recurrence stops:
- Never — Continues indefinitely
- On a specific date — Stops after a certain date
- After N occurrences — Stops after a set number of times
Exception Dates
You can exclude specific dates from a recurring schedule. For example, if you have a weekly schedule but want to skip certain holidays, add those dates as exceptions.
Example Schedules
Breakfast Menu
- Start: 6:00 AM
- End: 11:00 AM
- Recurrence: Daily
Weekend Special
- Days: Saturday, Sunday
- Recurrence: Weekly
Holiday Promotion
- Start: December 1
- End: December 31
- Recurrence: Yearly
Flash Sale
- Date: March 15
- Time: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- No recurrence (one-time)
How Scheduling Works
When a schedule is active, the content displays on your screens. When inactive, the content is hidden. Your screens automatically switch based on schedule rules — no manual intervention needed.
The schedule appears as a summary on the content card in the editor, showing when the content will display (e.g., "Daily from Jan 15, 2024 9:00 AM").
Removing a Schedule
To remove a schedule from content:
- Click the calendar icon on the content
- Clear the schedule settings
- Confirm to remove the schedule
The content will then display without any time restrictions.
